Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 2 Harapan Jaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian berbentuk non-equivalent control group design. Penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan sampel penelitian yang terdiri dari 58 peserta didik. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar antara kelompok yang menerapkan pendekatan STEM dan kelompok yang menerapkan pendekatan saintifik pada hasil belajar IPA. Dari hasil uji hipotesis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta didik di kelas V SD, serta terdapat perbedaan yang positif dan signifikan pada pendekatan STEM kelas eksperimen dibandingkan pendekatan saintifik kelas kontrol terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 2 Harapan Jaya Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023 Kata kunci: Hasil belajar, IPA, pendekatan STEM. The problem in this study is the low science learning outcomes of class V SD Negeri 2 Harapan Jaya students. This study aims to determine the influence of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approaches on students' science learning outcomes. The type of research used is quantitative research with quasi-experimental methods and research design in the form of non-equivalent control group design. Determination of research samples using purposive sampling, with a research sample consisting of 58 students. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significant difference in learning outcomes between the group that applied the STEM approach and the group that applied a scientific approach to science learning outcomes. From the results of the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) approach on the science learning outcomes of students in grade V elementary school, and there are positive and significant differences in the experimental class STEM approach compared to the control class scientific approach to the science learning outcomes of grade V students of SD Negeri 2 Harapan Jaya for the 2022/2023 academic year Keywords: Learning outcomes, Science, STEM approaches.
