Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan interaksi sosial siswa rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan kemampuan interaksi sosial pada siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian 141 siswa, sampel sebanyak 68 siswa dipilih menggunakan sample random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah skala kepercayaan diri dan skala interaksi sosial, teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara kepercayaan diri dengan kemampuan interkasi sosial yang ditunjukkan hasil korelasi r hitung= 0,463>r tabel= 0,244, yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara kepercayaan diri dengan kemampuan interaksi sosial pada siswa, artinya semakin baik kepercayaan diri maka semakin tinggi kemampuan interaksi sosial, sebaliknya semakin rendah kepercayaan diri maka semakin rendah kemampuan interaksi sosial. Kata kunci: kepercayaan diri, kemampuan interaksi sosial. The problem in this study is the low ability of students' social interaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and social interaction skills in students. The type of research used is correlational quantitative. The study population was 141 students, a sample of 68 students was selected using random sampling. The instruments in this study were the self-confidence scale and social interaction scale, the data analysis technique used the Pearson product moment correlation. The results of the study show that there is a significant and positive relationship between self-confidence and the ability to social interaction as shown by the correlation results of r count = 0.463 > r table = 0.244, which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion of the study is that there is a significant and positive relationship between self-confidence and social interaction skills in students, meaning that the better the self-confidence, the higher the social interaction skills, conversely the lower the self-confidence, the lower the social interaction skills.
