Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran masih menggunakan metode ceramah, Sekolah Dasar belum menggunakan media audio visual, masih adanya Pendidik yang belum bisa mengoperasikan media audio visual, terdapat Peserta Didik yang memiliki nilai di bawah KKM. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis karakteristik media audio visual berbasis discovery learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar tematik dan efektivitas media audio visual berbasis discovery learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar tematik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (R&D) Borg & Gall Modifikasi Budiyono. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Peserta Didik kelas III Gugus IV Gadingrejo dengan jumlah 176 Peserta Didik. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 21. Hasil penelitian dilihat dari perbedaan pretest dan posttest hasil belajar tematik pada kelas eksperimen. Nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 54,28 dan nilai rata-rata posttest adalah 79,04. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain adalah 0,4642 berkatagori “Sedang”. Kata kunci: media audio visual, discovery learning, hasil belajar tematik. The problem in this study is that learning still uses the lecture method, elementary schools have not used audio-visual media, there are still educators who cannot operate audio-visual media, there are students who have grades below the KKM. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of discovery learning-based audio-visual media to improve thematic learning outcomes and the effectiveness of discovery learning-based audio-visual media to improve thematic learning outcomes. The type of this research is Borg & Gall Modification Budiyono's development research (R&D). The population in this study were Class three Students of Cluster four Gadingrejo with a total of one hundred and seventy six students. There were twenty one subjects in this study. The results of the study were seen from the differences in pretest and posttest thematic learning outcomes in the experimental class. The average pretest score was fifty four point two eight and the posttest average score was seventy nine point zero four. The average value of N-Gain is zero point four six four two in the category of "Medium". Keywords : audio visual media, discovery learning, thematic learning outcomes.
