This research examines the social conflict implicit in the novel Therese Raquin by Émile Zola. The aim of this research is to describe the forms of conflicts in the novel Therese Raquin by Émile Zola and their implications in the novel Therese Raquin by Émile Zola in the learning of French in high school. This is a qualitative research using the descriptive method. This research focuses on the approach of the sociology of literature. The theory that reinforces the approach is the sociological classification of literature. The literature of Ian Watt, namely the theory of literary reflection. The data collection technique consists of listening or reading attentively and taking notes. The analysis process uses content analysis techniques with validity and reliability. The validity used in this study is content validity and it also uses observer self-reliability or intra-rater and inter-observer or inter-rater reliability. According to the results of this research, there were 119 data on internal conflicts and external conflicts, including 54 data on internal conflicts and 65 data on external conflicts. Internal conflicts reflected in the novel include anxiety, complaints, bad intentions, caution, fear, sadness, regret, and mental decline. Then, there is external conflict in the studied novel, there is only social conflict and no physical conflict. The data on social conflicts that have been categorized are arguments, indifference, verbal quarrels, fights, lies, infidelity, murder and hatred. This research has implications for the learning of high school French so that it can enrich knowledge of French literature. Keywords : social conflict, roman of therese raquin, learning implications Cette recherce examine le conflit social implicite dans le roman Therese Raquin d’Émile Zola. Le but de cette recherce est de décrire les formes de conflits dans le roman Therese Raquin d’ Émile Zola et leurs implications dans le roman Therese Raquin d’ Émile Zola dans l’apprentissage du français au lycée. C’est une recherche qualitative utilisant le méthode descriptive. Cette recherche s’intéresse à l’approche de la sociologie de la littérature. La théori qui renforce s’interésesse à l’approche est la classification sociologie de la littérature. La littérature de Ian Watt, à savoir la théori de la réflexion littéraire. La technique de collecte de données consiste à écoute ou à lire attentivement et à prendre des notes. Le processus d’analyse utilise des techniquess d’analyse de contenu avec validité et fiabilité. La validité utilisée dans cette étude est la validité de contenu et elle utilise également l’auto-fiabilité de l’observateur ou la fiabilité intra-évaluateur et inter-observateur ou interévaluateur. D’après les résultats de cette recherche, il y avait 119 données sur les conflits internes et les conflits externes, dont 54 données sur les conflits internes et 65 données sur les conflits externes. Les conflits internes reflétés dans le roman incluent l'anxiété, les plaintes, les mauvaises intentions, la prudence, la peur, la tristesse, le regret et le déclin mental. Ensuite, il y a conflit externe dans le roman étudié, il n'y a que conflit social et pas de conflit physique. Les données sur les conflits sociaux qui ont été catégorisées sont les disputes, l'indifférence, les querelles verbales, les combats, les mensonges, l'infidélité, le meurtre et la haine. Cette recherche a des implications pour l’apprentissage du français lycée afin qu’elle puisse enrichir la connaissance de la littérature française.
