Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

The agricultural sector is an important sector in the economy of Lampung Province. However, in recent years rice farmers in South Lampung Regency have faced crop failures due to drought, flooding, and pest and disease attacks. One of the government's efforts to protect farming is the Rice Farming Insurance program (AUTP), which has been running since 2015. This study aims to (1) analyze the level of participation of farmers in the AUTP program; (2) Analyze the effectiveness of the AUTP program; (3) Analyze the variables that affect farmer participation in the AUTP program. This research method is descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results showed that (1) the participation of farmers in the AUTP program was in the high category; (2) the level of effectiveness of the AUTP program is quite good; (3) Variables that influence farmer participation in the AUTP program are knowledge about the program and assistance intensity, both directly and indirectly. Keywords: AUTP program, effectiveness, level of participation Sektor pertanian merupakan sektor yang penting dalam ekonomi Provinsi Lampung. Namun, dalam beberapa tahun terakhir petani padi di Kabupaten Lampung Selatan dihadapkan pada kegagalan panen akibat kekeringan, kebanjiran, dan serangan hama dan penyakit. Salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk melakukan perlindungan usahatani adalah program Asuransi Usahatani Padi (AUTP) yang sudah berjalan sejak tahun 2015. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Menganalisis tingkat partisipasi petani dalam program AUTP; (2) Menganalisis efektivitas program AUTP; (3) Menganalisis variabel yang mempengaruhi partisipasi petani dalam program AUTP. Metode penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Partisipasi petani dalam program AUTP masuk dalam kategori tinggi; (2) Tingkat efektivitas program AUTP cukup baik; (3) Variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap partisipasi petani dalam program AUTP adalah pengetahuan tentang program dan intensitas pendampingan, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung.
