Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan konsep Community Based Tourism (CBT) berbasis Sustainable Tourism (ST) di Taman Wisata Bumi Mandiri Jaya (BMJ), Kabupaten Pringsewu. CBT dan ST merupakan konsep pengelolaan pariwisata yang saling berkaitan karena konsep pariwisata berbasis masyarakat merupakan konsep yang sangat penting dalam suatu pengelolaan dan pembangunan wisata yang berkelanjutan (sustainable). Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif, dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam kepada 9 informan yang terdiri dari pengelola, pekerja, dan masyarakat sekitar Taman Wisata BMJ sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pengelolaan Taman Wisata Bumi Mandiri Jaya sudah menjalankan prinsip- prinsip Communiy Based Tourism (CBT) dan sustainable tourism (ST) meskipun tidak seluruh prinsip tersebut dijalankan dengan baik. Prinsip lingkungan merupakan prinsip yang terdapat beberapa pelaksanaan kurang baik, hal ini berkaitan dengan kurangnya peran pemerintah daerah dan pihak swasta dalam sebagai stakeholder dari berjalannya suatu pengembangan wisata. Kata kunci: community, sustainable, tourism This study aims to analyze the application of the Community Based Tourism (CBT) concept based on Sustainable Tourism (ST) in Bumi Mandiri Jaya Tourism Park (BMJ), Pringsewu Regency. CBT and ST are tourism management concepts that are interrelated because the concept of community-based tourism is a very important concept in a sustainable tourism management and development. The research method used is qualitative, using in-depth interviews with 9 informants consisting of managers, workers, and the community around the BMJ Tourism Park as a data collection technique. The results of this study indicate that the management of Bumi Mandiri Jaya Tourism Park has implemented the principles of Community Based Tourism (CBT) and sustainable tourism (ST), although not all of these principles have been implemented properly. The environmental principle is a principle in which there are several unfavorable implementations, this is related to the lack of the role of local government and the private sector as stakeholders in the running of a tourism development.
