Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Pringsewu dalam sistem pengelolaan perkotaan adalah pengelolaan sampah yang belum optimal, Sampah merupakan bagian yang tidak dapat dipisahkandari kehidupan manusia, karena hampir setiap kegiatan fisik yang dilakukanmanusia pada akhirnya akan menimbulkan sampah, terutama bagimasyarakat yang tinggal di wilayah permukiman padat penduduk. Penelitian ini Bertujuan untuk mengetahui Implementasi peran Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Pringsewu dalam pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga berbasis masyarakat Melalui Teori Peran, terdiri dari peran pengatur kebijakan dan peran penyediaan layanan. Penelitian Ini Menggunakan Metode Deskriftif dengan Pendekatan Kualitatif, penentuan informan menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Hasil Penelitian Ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan peran Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Pringsewu Dalam Pengelolaan Sampah Berbasis Masyarakat di Desa Podomoro dapat dikatakan berhasil dalam memenuhi aspek peran, Adapun Faktor Peran Pengatur Kebijakan adalah dengan program Kota Tanpa Kumuh (KOTAKU), serta indikator berupa pelaksanaan peran pembinaan dalam bentuk sosialisasi bahaya dan manfaat sampah, pelaksanaan peran pengawasan berkerja sama dengan pihak desa podomoro, sedangkan dalam peran penyediaan layanan Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Pringsewu membangun tempat pengelolaan sampah terpadu (TPST), selain itu Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Pringsewu memberikan bantuan tiga unit kendaraan pengangkut sampah, namun hanya tempat pembuangan sampah sementara tidak disediakan oleh Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Pringsewu. Kata Kunci : Pengelolaan Sampah berbasis Masyarakat, Teori Peran, Peran Pengatur Kebijakan, Peran penyedia layanan. One of the problems faced by the Pringsewu Regency Government in the urban management system is waste management that is not yet optimal. Garbage is an inseparable part of human life, because almost every physical activity carried out by humans will eventually generate waste, especially for people who live in densely populated residential areas. This study aims to determine the implementation of the role of the pringsewu regency environmental service in community-based household waste management through role theory consisting of the role of policy maker and the role of service provider. This research uses descriptive methods with a qualitative approach, determining informants using purposive sampling techniques. The results of this study indicate that the Implementation of the role of the pringsewu regency environmental service in community-based waste management in podomoro village can be said to be successful in fulfilling role aspects, the policy regulatory role factors with the cities without slums (KOTAKU) program, as well as indicators in the form of implementation of the coaching role in the form socialization of the dangers and benefits of waste implementing the supervisory role in collaboration with podomoro village, while in the service provision role the pringsewu regency environmental service built an integrated waste management site (TPST), besides that the Pringsewu regency environmental service provided assistance three units of garbage collection vehicles, but only a temporary garbage disposal site was not provided by the Pringsewu Regency Environmental Service.
