Sampah masih menjadi permasalahan serius yang terus dihadapi sampai sekarang di Indonesia. Namun, pengelolaan sampah di Indonesia masih memiliki sejumlah tantangan. Good environmental Governance adalah paradigma baru di bidang lingkungan hidup untuk menciptakan adanya tata kelola lingkungan yang lebih baik, termasuk pengelolaan sampah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan dan menganalisis penerapan prinsip Good Environmental Governance pada kebijakan pengelolaan sampah di Indonesia serta faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan dan kegagalan dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode berupa scoping review. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian yaitu studi kepustakaan. Hasil review dari 33 artikel yang digunakan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prinsip-prinsip Good Environmental Governance pada pelaksanaan kebijakan pengelolaan sampah di Indonesia baik secara nasional maupun daerah masih belum optimal diterapkan yaitu aturan hukum yang belum cukup dan efektif mengatasi permasalahan sampah, partisipasi masyarakat yang rendah, dan kendala akses informasi. Adapun faktor penghambat penerapan prinsip-prinsip Good Environmental Governance yaitu regulasi yang belum berjalan maksimal, kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat, sarana/prasarana yang kurang memadai, serta sumber daya manusia yang masih sedikit. Sementara faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan penerapan prinsip ini yaitu peran serta pekerja sosial dalam meningkatkan modal sosial dan kompetensi SDM yang baik. Peneliti merekomendasikan agar pemerintah memperkuat peraturan dengan sanksi tegas, meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat melalui sosialisasi dan edukasi, mendorong partisipasi dengan program insentif dan kampanye digital, memanfaatkan teknologi dan aplikasi untuk transparansi informasi, serta melibatkan sektor swasta melalui skema CSR guna mendukung pengelolaan sampah yang lebih efektif. Kata Kunci: Pengelolaan Sampah, Good Environmental Governance, Kebijakan Waste is still a serious problem that continues to be faced until now in Indonesia. However, waste management in Indonesia still has a number of challenges. Good environmental governance is a new paradigm in the field of the environment to create better environmental governance, including waste management. This study aims to map and analyze the application of Good Environmental Governance principles to waste management policies in Indonesia as well as the factors that determine the success and failure of its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a method in the form of a scoping review. The data collection technique in the research is a literature study. The results of the review of the 33 articles used show that the application of Good Environmental Governance principles in the implementation of waste management policies in Indonesia, both nationally and regionally, is still not optimally implemented, namely insufficient and effective legal rules to overcome waste problems, low community participation, and obstacles to access to information. The factors that hinder the implementation of the principles of Good Environmental Governance are regulations that have not run optimally, lack of public awareness, inadequate facilities/infrastructure, and still few human resources. Meanwhile, the factors that support the successful implementation of this principle are the participation of social workers in increasing social capital and good human resource competence. The researcher recommends that the government strengthen regulations with strict sanctions, increase public awareness through socialization and education, encourage participation with incentive programs and digital campaigns, utilize technology and applications for information transparency, and engage the private sector through CSR schemes to support more effective waste management.
