Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran tipe STAD terhadap pemahaman konsep mata pelajaran PPKn peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung Tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Populasi pada penelitian ini berjumlah 269. Sampel pada penelitian ini yakni peserta didik kelas VII B (Kelas Eksperimen) dan VII D (Kelas Kontrol). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dasar berupa tes, observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan mengenai pengaruh model pembelajaran tipe STAD terhadap pemahaman konsep mata pelajaran PPKn peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung, bahwasanya terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep mata pelajaran PPKn kelas eksperimen dengan kontrol, yang dimana pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran tipe STAD dinilai cukup efektif dengan hasil uji N-Gain Score sebesar 70,9% yang dikategorikan cukup efektif, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional dinilai tidak efektif dengan hasil uji N-Gain Skor sebesar 34,1% yang dikategorikan tidak efektif. Hasil dari penelitian diketahui bahwasanya model pembelajaran tipe STAD dinilai memiliki pengaruh dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mata pelajaran PPKn setiap peserta didik, karena proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik dinilai lebih memudahkan setiap peserta didik untuk memahami setiap materi yang telah disampaikan oleh tenaga pendidik. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Tipe STAD, Pemahaman Konsep, Mata Pelajaran PPKn, Peserta Didik, Sekolah Menengah Pertama The purpose of this researched was to determine the influence of STAD type learning model on the understanding concepts of PPKn subjects in class VII students at SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung. This researched used a quasi experimental method with a quantitative approach. The subjects in this researched were class VII students at SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The population in this studied were 269 . The samples in this researched were students in class VII B (Experimental Class) and VII D (Control Class). Data collection techniques used basic techniques in the form of tests, observations and interviews. Based on the results of researched conducted regarding the influence of STAD type learning model on the understanding of concepts of PPKn subjects in Class VII students at SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung, there were difference in understanding the concepts of PPKn subjects in the experimental class and the control class, where the experimental class used a type of learning model. STAD is considered quite effective with N-Gain Score test results of 70.9% which is categorized as quite effective, while the control class which used conventional learning models is considered ineffective with N- Gain Score test results of 34.1% which is categorized as ineffective. The results of the researched show that the STAD type learning model is considered to have an influence in increasing the understanding of the concepts of PPKn subjects for each student, because the student-centered learning process is considered to make it easier for each student to understand each material that has been presented by teachers.
