The tapioca flour industry is a crucial sector that contributing to the economy, yet its operational activities often create externalities both positive and negative on the environment and surrounding communities. The importance of considering these impacts is crucial to asses the industry's performance and sustainability. This study aims to; (1) Identify and to analyze the external costs incurred by the PD Semangat Jaya tapioca flour industry; (2) Analyze the industry's profitability by including and excluding external costs; (3) Identify the tapioca flour industry's externalities on the community in terms of social, economic, and environmental aspects. The research method employed was a case study at PD Semangat Jaya. Respondents were included the industry owner or manager, and 45 household heads from the surrounding community, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed by calculating external costs using the Willingness to Accept (WTA) and Willingness to Pay (WTP) methods, analyzing industry profitability, and identifying the impact of externalities using a Likert scale. The research results indicate that the external costs incurred by PD Semangat Jaya amount to IDR165,500,000 per year. The industry's profit without externalities is IDR10,026,975,867, while the profit taking externalities into account is IDR9,867,475,867. The most significant positive impacts of the industry are felt by the community in social and economic aspects, while positive environmental impacts are relatively small. Conversely, the largest negative impacts stem from the environmental aspect, whereas negative social and economic impacts are relatively minor. Industri tepung tapioka merupakan salah satu sektor penting yang berkontribusi pada perekonomian, namun aktivitas operasionalnya seringkali menimbulkan dampak eksternalitas, baik positif maupun negatif, terhadap lingkungan dan masyarakat sekitar. Pentingnya mempertimbangkan dampak-dampak ini menjadi krusial dalam menilai kinerja dan keberlanjutan suatu industri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis biaya eksternalitas yang dikeluarkan oleh industri tepung tapioka PD Semangat Jaya. (2) Menganalisis keuntungan industri dengan dan tanpa mempertimbangkan biaya eksternalitas. (3) Mengidentifikasi eksternalitas industri tepung tapioka terhadap masyarakat dalam aspek sosial, ekonomi, dan lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus di PD Semangat Jaya. Responden meliputi pemilik atau pengelola industri serta 45 kepala keluarga masyarakat sekitar pabrik yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung biaya eksternalitas menggunakan metode Willingness to Accept (WTA) dan Willingness to Pay (WTP), menganalisis keuntungan industri, dan mengidentifikasi dampak eksternalitas menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya eksternalitas yang dikeluarkan oleh PD Semangat Jaya adalah sebesar Rp165.500.000 per tahun. Keuntungan industri tanpa eksternalitas sebesar Rp10.026.975.867, sedangkan keuntungan dengan memperhitungkan eksternalitas sebesar Rp9.867.475.867. Dampak positif industri paling besar dirasakan masyarakat dalam aspek sosial dan ekonomi, sementara dampak positif pada aspek lingkungan tergolong sedikit. Sebaliknya, dampak negatif terbesar berasal dari aspek lingkungan, sedangkan dampak negatif pada aspek sosial dan ekonomi relatif sedikit.
