Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
This present study aimed to investigate whether there was a significant improvement of the students' writing ability after the student were taught using Pinterest as a source for writing a descriptive text. The population of the research was the first-grade students of SMAN 1 Bandar Mataram with Class X-1 that consisted of 20 students. This study employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest and posttest Design. The data were collected using the pre-test and the post-test of the writing test in the form of essay tests. They were then analyzed by calculating mean of both the pretest and the posttest to test the hypothesis. The result showed that there was a statistically significant improvement of the students’ writing ability with the significant level 0,05. This result confirms the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H₁), indicating that students' writing ability significantly improved after the treatment. This suggests that Pinterest facilitates students to improve their writing ability, particularly in producing well-structured and descriptive texts.
