Transportasi memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat, terutama mahasiswa. Tanpa adanya tranportasi sebagai sarana penunjang, tidak dapat diharapkan hasil yang memuaskan dalam kegiatan mahasiswa. Sebaran rumah dan lokasi tempat tinggal mahasiswa yang tidak sama menyebabkan kebutuhan akan transportasi meningkat untuk mobilitas berangkat dan pulang kampus. Pemilihan moda transportasi pun bervariasi berdasarkan tingkat kepuasan yang telah ditawarkan pada tiap jenis moda angkutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan tempat tinggal dan pengaruhnya terhadap perilaku perjalanan dan pemilihan moda. Studi ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 25, metode analisis deskriptif terhadap karakteristik sosioekonomi dan metode evaluatif berupa analisa korelasi variabel yang mempengaruhi pemilihan moda transportasi ( dengan spearman-rank, chi-square, dan Regresi Linear Berganda) serta analisa pemodelan pemilihan moda transportasi oleh mahasiswa Universitas Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa responden yang menggunakan sepeda motor (54,4%), diikuti oleh jalan kaki (19,9%) dan ojek online (15,4%). Analisis model pemilihan diketahui bahwa faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pemilihan moda transportasi berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara tempat tinggal (0,515), pengeluaran transportasi per minggu (0,360), dan fakultas (0,081) terhadap moda transportasi yang dipilih. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa variabel tempat tinggal, pengeluaran transportasi per minggu , dan fakultas merupakan variabel yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa dalam melakukan pemilihan moda transportasi menuju kampus Universitas Universitas Lampung. Kata Kunci: Faktor Pemilihan Moda, analisis hubungan, dan perilaku perjalanan. Transportation plays an important role in society, especially for students. Without transportation as a supporting facility, satisfactory outcomes in student activities cannot be expected. The dispersed locations of students’ homes and residences increase the need for transportation to support mobility when traveling to and from campus, mode choice also varies according to the level of satisfaction offered by each type of transport mode. This study aims to analyze the relationship between place of residence and its influence on travel behavior and mode choice. This study was conducted using SPSS 25, employing descriptive analytical methods to examine the socioeconomic characteristics of respondents, as well as evaluative methods consisting of correlation analyses of variables influencing transportation mode choice (using Spearman’s rank, chi-square, and Multiple Linear Regression). In addition, a modeling analysis of transportation mode selection among students of the University of Lampung was carried out.The results of the study indicate that the majority of respondents use motorcycles (54.4%), followed by walking (19.9%) and online motorcycle taxis (15.4%). The mode-choice model analysis further reveals that the factors influencing transportation mode selection show significant relationships between place of residence (0.515), weekly transportation expenditure (0.360), and faculty (0.081), and the transportation mode chosen. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that place of residence, weekly transportation expenditure, and faculty are the key variables influencing students in selecting their mode of transportation to the University of Lampung campus.
