Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbantu problem card terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi-experimental dengan teknik pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling & diperoleh kelas X 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil uji Independent Sample t-Test menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari penerapan model PBL berbantu problem card terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi keanekaragaman hayati dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,05. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata N-gain kemampuan berpikir kritis 0,52 dengan kategori sedang & kelas kontrol memperoleh 0,29 dengan kategori rendah. Indikator berpikir kritis yang mengalami peningkatan tertinggi yaitu strategi dan taktik dengan N-gain kelas eksperimen 0,61. Indikator ini memperoleh N-gain rendah yaitu 0,26 pada kelas kontrol. Analisis indikator berpikir kritis menunjukkan N-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol pada tiap indikatornya. Selain itu, hasil analisis angket tanggapan peserta didik terhadap penerapan model PBL berbantu problem card diperoleh persentase 76% dengan kategori baik. Hal tersebut menunjukkan model PBL berbantu problem card mendapatkan respon positif dari peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model PBL berbantu problem card berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. The results of the Independent Sample t-Test test showed that there was an effect of the application of the PBL model assisted by problem cards on students' critical thinking skills on biodiversity material with a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.00 < 0.05. The experimental class obtained an average N-gain of 0.52 in the moderate category & the control class obtained 0.29 in the low category. The critical thinking indicator that experienced the highest increase was strategy and tactics with an N-gain of 0.61 in the experimental class. This indicator obtained a low N-gain of 0.26 in the control class. Analysis of critical thinking indicators showed that the N-gain of the experimental class was higher than the control class in each indicator. Furthermore, the results of the questionnaire analysis of student responses to the implementation of the problem card-assisted PBL model obtained a percentage of 76%, categorized as good. This indicates that the problem card-assisted PBL model received a positive response from students. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the problem card assisted PBL model has a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills.
