Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh reaksi etanolisis secara bertingkat terhadap nilai rendemen, aktivitas antibakteri dan stabilitas emulsi yang dihasilkan dari produk etanolisis campuran PKO dan CPO. Penelitian ini menggunakan perlakuan tunggal yaitu tingkat reaksi etanolisis yang terdiri dari 3 taraf (tingkat 1, 2 dan 3) dengan 3 ulangan. Reaksi etanolisis dilakukan pada suhu 40oC selama 8 menit dan kecepatan putar 1000 rpm. Data yang diperoleh disajikan dalam bentuk gambar histogram atau tabel (termasuk St. Dev) dan dibahas secara desktiptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rendemen produk etanolisis tingkat 1, 2 dan 3 yang dihasilkan relatif sama berkisar antara 32,73%-45,81% dan menghasilkan rendemen total hingga 72,91%. Produk etanolisis dari campuran PKO dan CPO dengan reaksi bertingkat memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap E. coli dan S. aureus hingga reaksi tingkat 3 dengan nilai diameter zona hambat masingmasing 21,69mm dan 22,10mm. Daya stabilitas emulsi produk etanolisis tingkat Cinggi Shela Nendela 1, 2 dan 3 yang dihasilkan berkisar antara 9,70%-14,40%, sedangkan daya stabilitas emulsi tertinggi diperoleh dari reaksi etanolisis tingkat 1 sebesar14,40%. Abstract The objective of this research to find out the influence of ethanolysis reaction gradually to the yield value, antimicrobe activity and emulsion stability produced from ethanol product mixture of PKO and CPO. This research is conducted using descriptive method with single treatment; the ethanolysis reaction levels that consists of 3 levels (level 1, 2 and 3) in 3 repetitions. The ethanolysis reaction is conducted in 40 0C in 8 minutes with 1000 rpm spinning. Obtained data are displayed in histogram figures and tables (including StDev) and discussed descriptively. The results shows that the yield value of the ethanolysis product in level 1, 2 and 3 produce the same results between 32,73% - 45,81% and produce total yield value up to 72.91%. The ethanolysis from PKO and CPO mixture with gradual reactions possesses anti bacteria activity to E. coli and S. aureus up to reaction 3, with value of inhibition diameter zone of 21,69 mm and 22,10 mm respectively. Produced emulsion stability of ethanolysis product level 1, 2 and 3 is between Cinggi Shela Nendela 9,70% - 14,40%, while the highest emulsion stability is obtained in ethanolysis reaction level 1 (14,40%).
