Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

The purposes of this research were to analyze (1) to arrangement the of lesson plan using TGT method, (2) the implementation of learning using the TGT method, (3) the learning evaluation system on learning using the TGT method, (4) to analyze students’ vocabulary achievement using the TGT method. The kind of this research is classroom action research was carried out in VII E and VII F class of SMP Al Kautsar Bandar Lampung. This research comprised 3 cycles. The first cycle used TGT, the second cycle TGT with picture media, and the third cycle TGT with LCD media. The data were collected using observation and test. The technique analysis is descriptive quantitative. These results of analysis indicated that (1) Lesson Plan in learning English vocabulary using syntax of TGT method. (2) There is an increased activity of students’ learning: listening, asking, explaining, answering question, making summary presentation and match (3) Evaluation system with 30 multiple choice questions. The validity of the instrument 0, 86 high category and the reliability of the instrument, 0, 92 high category. The level of difficulty 0, 39 medium category and distinguishing features cycle 0, 33 enough category. (4) There is an increased students’ English vocabulary achievement 7,05 good category because the Indicator has been reached. Key words : TGT, vocabulary, cooperative learning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis (1) penyusunan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode TGT, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan metode TGT, (3) sistem evaluasi pembelajaran pada pembelajaran menggunakan metode TGT, (4) peningkatan penguasaan kosakata siswa menggunakan metode TGT. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di kelas VII E dan VII F SMP Al Kautsar Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini terdiri 3 siklus, siklus I dengan pembelajaran TGT, siklus II pembelajaran TGT dengan media gambar, siklus III pembelajaran TGT dengan media LCD. Alat pengumpulan data adalah: observasi, dan tes. Teknik data diolah dengan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran kosakata Bahasa Inggris menggunakan sintaks pembelajaran TGT (2) Terdapat peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa: mendengarkan, bertanya, menjelaskan, menyelesaikan soal, membuat rangkuman, presentasi dan pertandingan (3) sistem evaluasi dengan 30 soal pilihan ganda. Validitas instrumen 0,86 kategori tinggi dan reliabilitas instrument 0, 92 kategori tinggi, sementara tingkat kesukaran soal 0, 39 kategori sedang dan daya pembeda soal 0, 33 kategori cukup. (4) Terjadi peningkatan kemampuan kosakata Bahasa Inggris siswa dengan nilai 7,05 kategori baik karena indikator yang ada telah tercapai. Kata kunci: TGT, kosakata,pembelajaran kooperatif.
