Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
The purpose of the research are: 1) to describe the potency and the condition of teaching sources in practicum subject of preventive dentistry nowadays, 2) to design teaching sources like practicum guide book of preventive dentistry, 3) to analyze the effectiveness of practicum guide book of preventive dentistry, 4) to analyze the efficiency of practicum guide book of preventive dentistry, 5) to analyze the interest of practicum guide book of preventive dentistry. This research is a kind of research and product development of teaching sources product which was done to students from department of dental nursing in Health Polytechnic Tanjungkarang. The data gathered through performance appraisal, observation, and questionnaire, then been analyzed by using descriptive analysis, quantitative and t-test. The conclusion of the research are: 1) today’s supporting teaching sources cannot yet describe the practicum process of preventive dentistry effectively, efficiently, interesting, and motivating to learn independence, 2) the design of practicum guide book began with conceptual study, field study of preventive dentistry practicum learning and teaching sources and then it was done a design process and the validation of teaching sources, 3) the preventive dentistry practicum guide book can increase the effectiveness in nursing skill of preventive dentistry with gain score 0,57 which is categorized medium, 4) the preventive dentistry practicum guide book can increase time efficiency with comparison ratio 1,60, 5) the preventive dentistry practicum guide book has big attraction 70,6% which is categorized interesting. Key words: teaching sources, practicum of preventive dentistry Tujuan penelitian adalah: 1) mendeskripsikan potensi dan kondisi bahan ajar saat ini, 2) merancang bahan ajar berupa buku penuntun praktik, 3) menganalisis efektifitas buku penuntun praktik, 4) menganalisis efisiensi buku penuntun praktik, 5) menganalisis kemenarikan buku penuntun praktik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan produk bahan ajar yang dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa jurusan keperawatan gigi Politeknik Kesehatan Tanjungkarang. Data dikumpulkan melalui penilaian unjuk kerja, observasi, dan angket, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif, kuantitatif dan t-test. Simpulan dari penelitian adalah:1) bahan ajar pendukung saat ini belum bisa mendeskripsikan proses praktik preventive dentistry secara efektif, efisien, menarik dan memotivasi untuk belajar mandiri, 2) perancangan buku penuntun praktik diawali dengan kajian konseptual, studi lapangan pembelajaran praktik, dan bahan ajar, dilakukan proses desain dan validasi bahan ajar, 3) buku penuntun praktik preventive dentistry mampu meningkatkan efektifitas dalam keterampilan perawatan dengan nilai gain 0,57 dikategorikan sedang, 4) buku penuntun praktik preventive dentistry mampu meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dengan rasio perbandingan 1,60, 5) buku penuntun praktik preventive dentistry memiliki daya tarik sebesar 70,6 % kategori menarik Kata kunci: bahan ajar, praktik preventive dentistry
