Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis : (1) desain perencanaan pembelajaran dengan Problem Based Learning (PBL); (2) proses pembelajaran dengan PBL dalam peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mata pelajaran sejarah; (3) sistem evaluasi pembelajaran dengan PBL dalam peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mata pelajaran sejarah; (4) peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mata pelajaran sejarah. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tiga siklus: pada siklus I menggunakan PBL individu, siklus II PBL kelompok, dan siklus III menggunakan PBL kelompok kecil. Data diambil melalui observasi dan tes. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diatas, maka peneliti mengambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) desain perencanaan pembelajaran PBL dengan sintak merumuskan masalah, menganalisis masalah, merumuskan hipotesis, mengumpulkan data dan merumuskan rekomendasi pada materi kebudayaan Hindu Budha dilakukan melalui diskusi yang dimulai dengan membagi kelompok, melaksanakan diskusi dan menyimpulkan hasil diskusi; (2) proses pembelajaran dengan PBL dilaksanakan melaui diskusi kelompok kecil berjumlah 3 orang dengan aktivitas dan komunikasi siswa menentukan masalah, membaca teks, merumuskan berbagai kemungkinan pemecahan masalah sedangkan aktivitas guru memberi penjelasan tentang masalah yang akan dibahas; (3) sistem evaluasi pembelajaran dengan PBL dengan soal esai dalam bentuk uraian singkat, dengan validitas 0,421 dan reliabilitas 0,6667; (4) kemampuan berpikir kritis mata pelajaran sejarah di kelas XI IPS I mengalami peningkatan, pada siklus I rerata 17,2 dengan kategori cukup baik, siklus II retata 18,4 dengan kategori cukup baik dan siklus III rerata 21,9 dengan kategori baik.sedangkan pada kelas XI IPS 2 mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa 16,36, pada siklus II menjadi 16,70 dan siklus III meningkat menjadi 21,9. Kata Kunci: Berpikir Kritis, Problem Based Learning The purpose of this study is to analyze: (1) the Lesson Plan Design with ProblemBased Learning (PBL); (2) the learning process with PBL in improving the students’ critical thinking skill on history subject; (3) the evaluation system with PBL in improving the students’ critical thinking skill on history subject, (4) the improvement of the students’ critical thinking skill on history subject The research method used is Classroom Action Research, implemented with three cycles: individual PBL in the first cycle, big group PBL in the second one, and small group PBL in the third one. The data collecting techniques are observation and test. The data is analyzed through Classroom Action Research Based on the results of the research, the researcher concludes that: (1) the PBL Lesson Plan Design (with the syntax: formulating and analyzing the problem, formulating hypothesis, collecting data and formulating recommendation) on the subject matter of Hindu Buddhist culture is carried out through discussion beginning with dividing the groups then carrying out the discussion and concluding the discussion; (2) the learning process with PBL is conducted through small group discussion (consists of 3 students) with the activity and communication: determining the problem, reading the text and formulating possible solution, while the teacher’s activity is explaining the problem to be addressed; (3) the evaluation system of learning with PBL is essay, in the form of brief description. Its validity is 0.421 and its reliability is 0.6667; (4) the students’ critical thinking ability of XI-social-1class on history subject increases: in the first cycle the mean or average is 17.2 with category ‘quite good’, in the second cycle the mean is 18.5 with category ‘quite good’ and in the last cycle the mean is 21.9 with category ‘good’, while the students’ critical thinking ability of XI- social-2 class on history subject also increases: in the first cycle the mean or average is 16.36, in the second cycle the mean is 16.70 and in the last cycle the mean is 21.9.
