Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran geografi di kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 3 Metro. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode tutor sebaya terhadap hasil belajar geografi siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 3 Metro pada tahun pelajaran 2015-2016. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Eksperimental. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 3 Metro tahun pelajaran 2015- 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Randomized control-group pretest-posttes Design. Dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 52 siswa yang terdiri dari 27 di kelas eksperimen dan 25 siswa di kelas kontrol. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji T, n-Gain dan Efek Size. Berdasarkan kriteria uji disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada kelas yang menggunakan metode belajar tutor sebaya. Kata Kunci: Metode Tutor Sebaya, Hasil Belajar, Geografi ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF THE PEER GROUP TOWARD LEARNING OUTCOMES AT THE STUDENTS OF SMA N 3 METRO GRADE XI ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016 The background of this research is the lack of the students’ Geography subject at grade XI social class in SMA N 3 Metro. This is occur because the teacher still uses conventional method. The objective of this research is to know the influence of peer group teaching method toward students’ Geography learning outcomes at the students of SMA N 3 Metro academic year 2015-2016. The reasercher uses randomized control-group pretest-postest design. The total sample is 52 students which are divided into two classes they are experiment class 27 students and contorl class 25 students. The researcher uses T-test, n-Gain and effect size to analyze the data. Based on the test criteria it can be concluded that there is significant influence towards the students out come of the students in the peer group class.
