Abstract
ABSTRAK Keterbukaan diri merupakan suatu tindakan sengaja atau rela untuk mengungkapkan diri, menceritakan informasi diri, memberikan informasi diri, pendapat, keyakinan, perasaan, pengalaman atau bahkan masalah yang dijaga atau dirahasiakan untuk diungkapkan kepada orang lain secara apa adanya sehingga pihak lain memahaminya. Keterbukaan diri mempengaruhi tingkat efektifitas suatu kegiatan komunikasi terutama komunikasi interpersonal. Keterbukaan diri ditunjukan dengan adanya sikap sebagai berikut Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah faktor demografi yang berupa jenis kelamin, etnis, usia, lama pernikahan, tingkat pendidikan dan pendapatan seseorang memiliki pengaruh terhadap tingkat keterbukaan diri dalam komunikasi interpersonal suami istri didalam keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor demografi terhadap keterbukaan diri pasangan suami istri pada komunikasi interpersonal didalam keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksplanasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana untuk data rasio dan uji chi square untuk data nominal dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sampling kuota, dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 96 pasangan suami istri. Hasil penelitian ini menujukan bahwa: Kata kunci: Faktor demografi, keterbukaan diri, komunikasi interpersonal suami istri ABSTRACT Self-Disclosure is a the act of intentionally or willingly to reveal them selves, tell self information, provide self information, opinion, confidence, feeling, experience or even the problems guarded or kept secret to be revealed to the other in a they are so the other understand. Self-disclosure influences the rate of the effectiveness an activity communication especially interpersonal communication. Selfdisclosure can be seen from the attitude as follows (1) act professional, (2) be objective, (3) understand yourself, (4) understanding people , (5) the attitude believe (6) apply the Self-disclosure in communication . The problems in this research is whether factors demographic of sex , ethnic , age ,marriage age , education levels and family income has influence on the rate of Self-disclosure in communication interpersonal spouses in the family. This research use method explanatory with quantitative approach. This research aims to find out the influence demography factors between self-disclosure at husband and wife in interpersonal communication in family. This research use analysis of simple regresion linier for rasio data and chi square test for nominal data with significansi 5%. The sampling technique used is the techniq sampling kuota with 96 subjects. The results of this study indicate that : (1) Based on the result analysis of simple regresion linier for demography factor like age, age marriage, education and incame had signifikan influence that is 78.1% and 21,9% influence by other factors not examined in this study. (2) The result of chi squre test for ethnic is 0,033, this result indicate that ethnic had influence self-discluser. (3) The result of chi squre test for gender is 0,166, this result indicate that gender not had influence self-disclouser. Keyword: Demography factors, Self-disclouser, Interpersonal communication
