Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the students’ interest and learning outcomes on Civic Education through audio visual learning media at the first year of second accounting class of SMK N 1 Metro. The type of the research is Action Research (PTK) done at SMK N 1 Metro by collaborative and participatory. The subject of the research is the teacher as the researcher and all the first year of second accounting class students consist of 30 students. The object of the research is all process in applying the audio visual learning media, the research is done into three cycles consist of planning, doing, observing and reflecting. The result of the research shows that thereis an increasing of students’ interest and learning outcomes by using the audio visual media on civic education shows that after applying it, there is an increasing of students’ interest and learning outcomes shown by the average of increasing in percentage on the students’ studying interest on the first cycle through the observation data is 36,6 %, on the second cycle is 63,3 % and 100 % on the last cycle. For the increase the students’ interest and learning outcomes by written test is 56,67 % on the first cycle, 76,6 % on the second cycle and 83,3 % on the last cycle. Key word: audio visual media, civic education, students” interest and learning outcomes Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan minat dan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran PKn melalui media pembelajaran audio-visual di SMKN 1 Metro kelas x akuntansi 2. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan di SMKN 1 Metro secara kolaboratif dan partisipatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru sebagai peneliti dan seluruh siswa kelas X akuntansi 2 di SMKN 1 Metro yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan proses pada penerapan media pembelajaran audio visual. Penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar siswa dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran audio-visual dalam mata pelajaran PKn menunjukkan bahwa setelah diterapkan pembelajaran PKn dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran audio-visual terjadi peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan rata-rata persentase pada indikator minat belajar siswa (on task) di siklus pertama melalui data observasi sebesar 36,6 %, peningkatan minat belajar di siklus kedua melalui data observasi sebesar 63,3 %, dan peningkatan minat belajar siswa di siklus ketiga melalui data observasi sebesar 100 %. Untuk peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui test tertulis di siklus pertama mencapai 56,67 %, peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melalui test tertulis di siklus kedua mencapai 76,6 % dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa melaui test tertulis di siklus ketiga mencapai 83,3 %.
