Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
The aims of development research are to produce picture media product to learn social studies at natural, artificial feature and dividing time in Indonesia. Other aim is to find out the effectiviness of result development product usage at sosial studies learning. This appoarch is research and development they are sosial studies learning media development. The research used Brog and Gall model, by using product development procedure Dick and Carey. T test sample product is fifth grade of elementary school which is about 64 students. Before t-test testing prototype picture media by media experts and learning experts. Test result shown that reality picture media get good scoring by learning expert, and good scoring by learning media expert. At small group test shown good response but media layout is still clear enough. At field test, media result scoring shown good response, and the effectiveness of media usage appear from correlation of between student response and media through study achievement significantly. Accordingly, result picture media development is suitable for using in social studies learning at fifth grade of elementary school. Key word: develpment, media, relity picture, social studies learning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan produk berupa media gambar realita untuk pembelajaran IPS pada materi kenampakan alam, buatan serta pembagian waktu di Indonesia dan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan produk hasil pengembangan media tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Depelopment) dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPS. Langkah yang ditempuh adalah model Borg & Gall, dengan prosedur pengembangan produk menurut Dick and Carey. Sampel uji coba produk adalah siswa kelas V SD yang berjumlah 64 orang. Sebelum uji coba terlebih dulu dilakukan pengujian prototipe media gambar oleh ahli media dan ahli pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukan respon yang baik dan efektif setelah melalui uji coba perorangan, uji coba kelompok kecil serta uji coba lapangan, Kesimpulanya adalah; (1) hasil penilaian ahli materi, ahli media dan siswa dinyatakan layak digunakan, (2) hasil uji coba produk berupa media gambar realita dinyatakan efektif yang diuji dengan kolerasi kontingensi diperoleh koefisien kontingensi C hitung lebih besar dari nilai produk moment (0,649 > 0,349), Dengan demikian, media gambar hasil pengembangan layak dipergunakan dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk siswa kelas V SD.
