Abstract
This study analyzes the types of stylistic features in the song lyrics of the album Racine Carrée by Stromae. The purpose of this study is to describe the figures of speech used in the lyrics of the album and to identify the most dominant types of figures of speech. This study employs a stylistic approach. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method. The research data consists of lyrics from 13 songs on the Racine Carrée album. The data source used is the complete set of song lyrics on the album. Based on the analysis results, 82 instances of stylistic features were identified. The most dominant type of figure of speech is the metaphor. The use of metaphors in song lyrics serves to convey messages, feelings, and specific conditions indirectly. Furthermore, the use of various figures of speech also plays a role in strengthening emotional expression, enhancing the aesthetic value of language, and conveying social criticism and life experiences. The results of this study can serve as a reference in the teaching and learning of the French language. Keywords : Figure of speech, song lyrics, stylistics
