Abstract
Abstrak Feminisme menunjukkan bahwa perempuan dapat setara dengan laki-laki dan juga dapat memiliki kekuasaan terhadap laki-laki. Perempuan yang memiliki kemampuan, keahlian, dan dapat menggali potensi diri dengan optimal, serta dapat menguasai dan tidak diremehkan oleh laki-laki dijadikan sebagai tolak ukur feminisme. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan mengenai konsep feminisme serta mengetahui perbedaan konsep feminisme pada novel The Hunger Games dan Divergent. Kedua novel tersebut merupakan novel yang bergenre sama yang membahas tentang perempuan sebagai tokoh utama. Peneliti menggunakan teory Tong untuk menganalisis konsep feminisme pada penelitian ini. Untuk mendukung analisis ini, peneliti juga mengembangkannya dengan teori-teori lain seperti teori Humm dan Abrams. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dimana peneliti dapat menemukan representasi konsep-konsep feminisme berdasarkan gambaran dan keterangan – keterangan secara jelas dan faktual tentang sebuah gambaran konsep feminisme yang terdapat pada novel The Hunger Games dan Divergent. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penulis menemukan 20 konten dari 8 konsep feminisme. Pada novel The Hunger Games ditemukan 5 konsep feminisme dari 8 konsep, yaitu Liberal, Marxis, Eksistensialisme, Psikoanalisis dan Gender dan Ekofeminisme. Konsep feminisme yang paling banyak ditemukan yaitu feminisme Marxis sebanyak 5 konten. Pada novel Divergent ditemukan 5 konsep feminisme dari 8 konsep, yaitu Liberal, Marxis, Eksistensialisme, Posmoderenisme, dan Multikultural dan Global. Konsep feminisme yang paling banyak ditemukan feminisme Eksistensialisme sebanyak 3 konten. Abstract Feminism shows that women are equal with men and may also have authority over men. Women who have the ability, expertise, and can explore their potential optimally, and able to master and not to be underestimated by men serve as the benchmark for feminism. Based on this background, the objective of this study was to determine and describe the concept of feminism and to know the different concepts in The Hunger Games and Divergent novel. Both of the novels are the novels which have the same genre discussed about the woman as main character. The researcher used Tong’s theory to analyze the concept of feminism in this study. To support this analysis, the researcher also developed it with other theories, like Humm and Abrams’s theories. The method used is qualitative, where researcher could find the representation of the feminism concepts based on the clear and factual description and the evidences of the representation of feminism concepts contained in The Hunger Games and Divergent novel. The results of this study showed there are 20 contents of 8 concepts of feminism. In the Hunger Games novel were found 5 of 8 concept, consisting liberal, Marxist, existentialism, psychoanalysis and gender and ecofeminism. The most common consept is marxist feminism as much as 5 concept. In the Divergent novel were found 5 of 8 concept consisting of liberal ,Marxist, existentialism, postmodernism, and global and multicultural feminism. The most common concept that is found is existentialism feminism as much as 3 contents.
