Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran dengan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berfikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran sosiologi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Al kautsar Bandar lampung tahun pelajaran 2014 / 2015. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengandesain Non Equivalen Control Group. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes. Pengujian hipotesis pertama menggunakan uji t testdan efec size, sedangkan untuk hipotesis kedua menggunakan N Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perhitungan pada uji T untuk kedua kelas, diperoleh Sig. 0,000 < 0,05 dan t hitung >t tabel , yaitu t- test. t hitung 6,624 dan t 1,68385 sehingga Ho ditolak yang berarti Ha diterima karenat hitung >t tabel tabel . Hal ini berarti terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan model ekspositori. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji efec size calculate d and r menggunakan t value dan df, juga diperoleh cohen’s d 1,50 dan efec size 0,60 termasuk dalam kriteria Large, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa efeknya adalah besar. Efektivitas pembelajaran dilihat dari perhitungan nilai N-Gain yang menunjukan bahwa nilai N-Gain kelas kontrol 0,45 dan Gain kelas eksperimen diperoleh angka 0,59. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dan dalam kategori baik atau efektif. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran berbasis masalah, model ekspositori, keterampilan berfikir kritis. ABSTRACT study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning by the application of problem-based learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills in the subject of sociology. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS SMA Al Kautsar Bandar Lampung in academic year 2014 / 2015. The samples were taken using cluster random sampling technique. The effectiveness of learning seen from the calculation of the value of the N-Gain indicating that the value of N-Gain control class 0.45 and 0.59 figures obtained experimental class.
