Abstract

Grup sederhana merupakan grup yang tidak memiliki subgrup normal sejati selain subgrup trivial. Grup Mathieu Mi (untuk i bilangan asli) merupakan subgrup dari grup simetri Si dengan aturan sistem Steiner . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa grup Mathieu M11, M12, M22, M23 dan M24 adalah grup sederhana. Dalam pembahasan dibuktikan bahwa setiap grup aksi faithfully dan -transitif yang stabilizer satu titiknya adalah grup sederhana, merupakan grup sederhana atau memiliki subgrup normal reguler . Sementara itu dengan teorema Sylow subgrup dibuktikan M11 adalah grup sederhana. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa M22 yang memiliki stabilizer satu titik , M23 yang memiliki stabilizer satu titik M22, M24 yang memiliki stabilizer satu titik M23, M12 yang memiliki stabilizer satu titik M11 dan M11 adalah grup sederhana.
