This research used descriptive qualitative method. The data were take from the dance teacher of JHS Wiratama Kotagajah and 13 female students. The techniques used to collect the data were participant observation, interview, documentation, and practical test. Cooperative learning in the type of group investigation is a method which includes the students since planning, both in determining the topic and also the way to learn through investigation in a group. The steps of using group investigation were arranging the students into groups. From 13 students, it was formed 3 groups. Then, plan the assignment to look for the kind of movement, back sound music, and the chain movement of Bedana dance. Next in conducting the investigation, each group searched the materials that had been determined from some sources and also media in the outside of extracurricular activity. After that, prepared the final report in which the students practiced before presentation. Then, the students presented the final report in front of their friends. The last was evaluation where the other group delivered their opinion and the teacher also evaluated the students. The evaluation was given based on four aspects such as wiraga, wirama, wirasa, and memorizing the kind of movement. Besides, the students’ learning activity in every meeting was also evaluated. The results of Bedana dance learning through cooperative learning method, investigation group type showed that some students from all evaluation aspects of Bedana dance got enough criteria with the average score was 70.77. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penggunaan dan hasil belajar tari Bedana pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Wiratama Kotagajah menggunakan metode cooperative learning tipe group investigasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode cooperative learning tipe group investigasi dan hasil belajar siswa setelah proses pembelajaran tari Bedana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah guru tari SMP Wiratama Kotagajah dan 13 siswi perempuan. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah observasi berperan serta (partisipasi), wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes praktik. Cooperative learning tipe group investigasi adalah metode yang melibatkan siswa sejak perencanaan, baik dalam menentukan topik maupun cara untuk mempelajari melalui investigasi secara berkelompok. Metode cooperative learning tipe group investigasi diterapkan pada pembelajaran tari Bedana dari pertemuan awal hingga pertemuan akhir. Langkah-langkah penggunaan metode group investigasi, mengatur murid ke dalam kelompok, dari 13 siswi terbentuk 3 kelompok. Merencanakan tugas mencari nama ragam, gerakan, musik pengiring, dan urutan gerak tari Bedana. Melaksanakan investigasi, tiap kelompok mencari materi yang telah ditentukan dari berbagai sumber dan media di luar kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Menyiapkan laporan akhir, tiap kelompok berlatih sebelum presentasi. Mempresentasikan laporan akhir, tiap kelompok presentasi di depan teman-teman yang lain. Evaluasi, kelompok lain memberikan pendapat dan guru memberikan penilaian. Penilaian diberikan melalui empat aspek yaitu wiraga, wirama, wirasa dan hafalan ragam gerak selain itu juga diadakan penilaian tentang aktivitas belajar siswa pada setiap pertemuan. Hasil pembelajaran tari Bedana dengan menggunakan metode cooperative learning tipe group investigasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata dari seluruh aspek penilaian tari Bedana mendapat kriteria cukup dengan rata-rata skor 70,77. Kata Kunci: Metode Group Investigasi, Pembelajaran Tari Bedana, Penilaian.
