Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tentang peran komite sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pelayanan pendidikan di SMAN 2 Tumijajar Kabupaten Tulangbawang Barat. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi dengan informan: kepala sekolah, komite sekolah, guru, siswa dan orang tua wali murid SMAN 2 Tumijajar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan pengecekan kredibilitas data dengan triangulasi. Tahapan penelitian ini adalah tahap pralapangan, penelitian, dan pelaporan hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran komite sekolah (pemberi pertimbangan, pendukung, pengontrol, dan penghubung) belum berjalan secara maksimal. Kata Kunci: Komite Sekolah, Mutu Pelayanan Pendidikan. ROLES OF SCHOOL COMMITTEE IN IMPROVING QUALITY OF EDUCATION SERVICES A Case Study in Public Senior High School (SMAN) 2 Tumijajar Tulangbawang Barat District By I PUTU EKA AMERTA This study aimed to describe and analyze the roles of the school committee in improving the quality of education services in SMAN 2 Tumijajar, Tulangbawang Barat District. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interview, observation and documentation. The informants werethe principal, school committee,teachers, students, and parents of the students of SMAN 2 Tumijajar. Data analysis was performed using the following steps; data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Validity of the data was carried out by checking credibility of the data using triangulation. This study was conducted using the following stages:pre-field research, field research, and report of the research results. Results of this study showed that the roles of the school committee asconsideration giver, supporter, controller, and liaison had not run optimallyin improving the quality of education services in SMAN 2 Tumijajar. This study indicates that, to improve the quality of education services in the school, the school committee as an independent organization needs support from and cooperation with various parties to improve professionalism and competence of its members.
