Latar Belakang: Ginjal merupakan Ginjal merupakan organ yang memegang peranan penting bagi tubuh. Ginjal berperan dalam menyaring berbagai zat sisa metabolisme dan senyawa asing dari darah. Salah satu yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada ginjal adalah paparan obat yang berlebihan, salah satunya parasetamol. Ekstrak etanol biji ketumbar (Coriandrum sativum L.) diketahui memiliki aktivitas antioksidan pada beberapa organ. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak etanol biji ketumbar terhadap histopatologi ginjal tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi parasetamol. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratorik dengan desain post test only control group design menggunakan 30 ekor tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus) yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Shapiro-Wilk dan Levene’s test dilanjutkan dengan analisis univariat. Selanjutnya, dilakukan analisis bivariat Kruskal-Wallis dan Post Hoc Mann-Whitney. Hasil: Pada uji Kruskal-Wallis terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol biji ketumbar terhadap histopatologi ginjal tikus putih jantan yang diinduksi parasetamol bahwa rerata skor kerusakan tubulus dan glomerulus untuk kelompok K0, K-, P1, P2, dam P3 berturut-turut adalah 0; 3,92,; 3,44; 2,6, dan 1,96. Setelah itu pada uji Post Hoc Mann-Whitney menunjukkan bahwa kelompok perlakuan perlakuan 3 (P3) memiliki perbedaan signifikan terhadap kelompok kontrol negatif (K-) dengan nilai signifkasi (p) <0,001. Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol biji ketumbar (Coriandrum sativum L.) terhadap gambaran histopatologis ginjal tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegivus) yang diinduksi parasetamol. Kata Kunci: antioksidan, ekstrak etanol biji ketumbar, histopatologi ginjal, parasetamol, Coriandrum sativum Background: The kidney is an essential organ that plays a vital role in maintaining homeostasis by filtering metabolic waste products and foreign compounds from the blood. One factor that can cause kidney damage is excessive exposure to drugs, such as paracetamol. Ethanolic extract of coriander seeds (Coriandrum sativum L.) is known to possess antioxidant activity in several organs. This study aimed to determine the effect of ethanolic extract of coriander seeds on the renal histopathology of male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced by paracetamol. Methods: This research was an experimental laboratory study using a post-test only control group design with 30 male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) divided into five groups. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk test and Levene’s test, followed by univariate analysis. Bivariate analysis was then performed using Kruskal-Wallis and Post Hoc Mann-Whitney tests. Results: The Kruskal-Wallis test showed that administration of ethanolic extract of coriander seeds significantly affected the renal histopathology of male white rats induced by paracetamol. The mean tubular and glomerular damage scores for groups K0, K–, P1, P2, and P3 were 0; 3,92,; 3,44; 2,6, dan 1,96, respectively. The Post Hoc Mann-Whitney test revealed that the treatment group 3 (P3) showed a significant difference compared to the negative control group (K–) with a significance value (p) < 0.001. Conclusions: Administration of ethanolic extract of coriander seeds (Coriandrum sativum L.) has a significant effect on the renal histopathological features of male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced by paracetamol.
