Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
The problem of this research is related to the moral virtues of all the main characters in the anthology of short stories Sentimentalisme Calon Mayat by Sony Karsono, as well as its implications in learning. This study aims to describe the moral virtues of the main character in the anthology of short stories Sentimentalisme Calon Mayat by using Aristotle's theory of moral virtue which includes courage, self-control, generosity/generosity, simplicity, honesty, justice, and friendship/loyalty. In addition, this study aims to describe the implications of the findings on moral virtue in the anthology of short stories Sentimentalism Calon Mayat in Indonesian language learning in high school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The main data in the form of texts in the short anthology Sentimentalisme Calon Mayat was analyzed by referring to Aristotle's theory of moral virtue to identify the morals of the main character. Data collection was carried out by observation techniques and recording techniques. Data analysis refers to Huberman and Miles by reading the entire short story in the book Sentimentalisme Calon Mayat, identifying and marking sentences or paragraphs that make data on moral virtue, and describing the results of the data findings in the research. The results of the study obtained 65 data that showed the moral virtues of all the main characters in the short story anthology Sentimentalism Calon Mayat. The virtue of honesty is most commonly found and is found in almost all short stories. The most data obtained was found in Surabaya Johnny: Pikiran, Ucapan, dan Tindakan Saya (seperti Dipaparkan kepada Pieter Jansma) as the short story with the highest number of pages. The results of this study can be implicated in Indonesian language learning in class XI phase F, teaching materials, short story texts, reading and viewing elements, and writing. The findings of the research can be used as an example in explaining the teaching material of short story texts to students. Keywords: Short Stories; Sentimentalisme Calon Mayat; Moral Virtues
