Abstract

This thesis discusses Rolle’s Theorem and the Mean Value Theorem for sequence-valued functions in the spacel 2. The discussion begins with the basic concepts of limits, continuity, and derivatives of sequence-valued functions as the main foundation. It is then shown that both theorems remain valid for sequence-valued functions in the spacel 2, provided that the functions are continuous on a closed interval and differentiable on an open interval with respect to thel 2 norm. The results show that the relationship between Rolle’s Theorem and the Mean Value Theorem for sequence-valued functions is consistent with the real-valued case. Therefore, the basic concepts of calculus can be extended to the sequence spacel 2 as a Banach space and a Hilbert space. Keywords:Rolle’s Theorem, Mean Value Theorem, sequence-valued functions,l 2 space. Skripsi ini membahas Teorema Rolle dan Teorema Nilai Rata-Rata pada fungsi bernilai barisan di ruangl 2. Pembahasan dimulai dengan konsep dasar limit, kontinuitas, dan turunan pada fungsi bernilai barisan sebagai landasan utama. Selanjutnya ditunjukkan bahwa kedua teorema tersebut tetap berlaku pada fungsi bernilai barisan di ruangl 2 dengan memenuhi syarat kekontinuan pada interval tertutup dan terdiferensialkan pada interval terbuka dalam normal 2. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara Teorema Rolle dan Teorema Nilai Rata-Rata pada fungsi bernilai barisan sejalan dengan kasus fungsi bernilai real. Dengan demikian, konsep dasar kalkulus dapat diperluas ke dalam ruang barisanl 2 sebagai ruang Banach dan ruang Hilbert.
