Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan kondisi dan potensi bahan ajar LKS yang digunakan; 2) mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan worksheets; 3) menghasilkan worksheets untuk peningkatan keterampilan berbicara; 4) menganalisis efektifitas penggunaan worksheets terhadap pencapaian keterampilan berbicara; 5) menganalisis efisiensi penggunaan worksheets dalam pembelajaran; 6) menganalisis daya tarik worksheets dalam pembelajaran. Pendekatan penelitian yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas X di SMKN 3 Metro, SMK Kartikatama 1 Metro, dan SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Metro. Instrumen penelitian adalah observasi, angket, dan tes berbicara. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) terdapat kebutuhan pengembangan bahan ajar untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara; 2) worksheets teruji secara pedagogis, konten, konstruk, metodologis, dan psikologis berkualitas baik; 3) produk yang dihasilkan secara spesifik didesain untuk pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara. Terdapat enam buah worksheets untuk pembelajaran tiga ungkapan fungsional yaitu mengungkapkan pilihan, mengungkapkan kemampuan/ketidakmampuan, dan mengungkapkan harapan/impian; 4) penggunaan worksheets dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa (0.00 < 0.05), 5) worksheets juga dinilai efisien dalam pencapaian hasil belajar, usaha belajar, dan penggunaan waktu, serta 6) menarik dilihat dari aspek lingkungan belajar dan kepuasan siswa. Kata kunci: worksheets, keterampilan berbicara, efektifitas, efisiensi, dan daya tarik pembelajaran. ABSTRACT This research aimed at 1) describing condition and potency of instructional materials; 2) describing the process of developing product; 3) producing worksheets to increase speaking skill; 4) analyzing the effectiveness of using worksheets toward students’ speaking skill; 5) analyzing the efficiency of worksheets in instruction; 6) analyzing the interest of worksheets in instruction. This study employed research and development. The subjects were students of 10th grade of VHS State 3 Metro, VHS Kartikatama 1 Metro, and VHS Muhammadiyah 3 Metro. The research instruments were observation, questionnaire, and speaking test. The data gained were analyzed qualitatively by using descriptive analysis method. The findings showed that: 1) there was a need to develop such instructional materials to be used in the speaking skill instruction; 2) the worksheets developed were qualified in case of pedagogic, content, construct, methodologic, dan psychologic validities; 3) the product result was specifically designed for the speaking skill instruction. There were six worksheets for the instruction of three functional expressions, i.e. expressing preferences, expressing capabilities/ incapabilities, and expressing hopes/dreams; 4) the worksheets were found effective in increasing speaking skill (0.00 < 0.05); 5) the worksheets were also found efficient in increasing learning result, learning effort, and the use of instruction time, and 6) interesting seen from the learning environment and students’ satisfaction aspects.
