Abstract

Terdapat beragam fenomena interaksi yang dilakukan antara orang yang memiliki keterbatasan fisik dengan mereka yang mempunyai fisik normal seperti pada umumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara dan proses komunikasi dalam pembelajaran antara guru dan siswa tunarungu di SMALB PKK Provinsi Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Teori interaksi simbolik digunakan sebagai teori analisis penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bentuk komunikasi yang digunakan yaitu dengan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal, menciptakan persamaan makna, memberikan demonstrasi atau contoh dalam bentuk komunikasi, memberikan demonstrasi dalam materi pelajaran, dan menunjukkan empati pada siswa tunarungu. Faktor-faktor pendukung dalam proses pembelajaran diantaranya adalah siswa, guru, orang tua, masyarakat, serta lingkungan. Faktor-faktor penghambat dalam proses pembelajaran diantaranya adalah keterbatasan pendengaran siswa, kurangnya kemampuan siswa memahami materi yang disampaikan, serta keterbatasan sarana untuk melakukan demonstrasi. Kata Kunci : Bentuk Komunikasi, Guru, Siswa Tunarungu, Teori Interaksi Simbolik. COMMUNICATION FORM OF TEACHERS TO DEAF STUDENTS IN SCHOOL (Study on The Teachers and Students in SMALB PKK Lampung Province) There are many variety phenomena of interaction that counducted between the people with disabilities and those who had normal physical as in general. The objectives of this research are to determine way and process of communication in learning activities between teachers and deaf students in SMALB PKK Lampung Province. This research uses the descriptive qualitative methods. Indepth interview and documentation are used as the data collection technique. Interaction symbolic theory used as the analysis theory for this research. The results of this study show communication form that used are verbal and nonverbal communication, provide a demonstrations or sample in communication form and the subject matter, and show empathy to the students. Supporting factors in the learning process are students, teachers, parents, society, and the environment. The resistor factors in the learning activities are hearing impairment of students, inability of student to understand the material, and the limited of demonstration tools.
