Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berbicara peserta didik: (1) menggunakan teknik role play dan teknik percakapan singkat, (2) menggunakan teknik role play dengan teknik percakapan singkat memperhatikan motivasi tinggi, (3) menggunakan teknik role play dengan teknik percakapan singkat memperhatikan motivasi rendah, dan (4) anatara teknik yang digunakan dan motivasi peserta didik berdasarkan interaksinya. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimental, dilaksanakan di SMKN 3 Bandar Lampung pada kelas XI jurusan Akomodasi Perhotelan 1 & 2. Data diambil menggunakan angket, test, kemudian dianalisis dengan paired ANAVA dan t-test. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan antara: (1) kemampuan berbicara peserta didik menggunakan teknik role play lebih tinggi dari teknik percakapan singkat, (2) kemampuan berbicara peserta didik menggunakan teknik role play dan teknik percakapan singkat dengan memperhatikan motivasi tinggi, (3) keterampilan berbicara peserta didik menggunakan teknik role play memperhatikan motivasi rendah, serta (4) terdapat interaksi antara teknik mengajar dan motivasi. Kata kunci : keterampilan berbicara, motivasi, role play Abstrak Bahasa Inggris This research aims to identify the differences of student’s speaking skill: (1) using role play technique and short conversation technique, (2) using role play technique and short conversation technique through high motivation, (3) using role play technique and short conversation technique through low motivation, and (5) identifying whether there was an interaction among the techniques and motivation toward student’s speaking skill. The approach of the study used quasi experimental at SMKN 3 Bandar Lampung on XI Hotel Acomodation 1 & 2. The data was taken by test and analyzed by paired ANAVA and t-test. The results are the distinguish: (1) using role play technique and short conversation technique, (2) using role play technique and short conversation technique through high motivation, (3) using role play technique and short conversation technique through low motivation, and (4) identifying an interaction among the techniques and motivation toward student’s speaking skill.
