Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis (1) penyusunan perencanaan menulis teks narrative dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran menulis teks narrative dengan pendekatan CTL, (3) evaluasi pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL, dan (4) peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks narrative berbahasa Inggris kelas XI SMA Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung dengan pendekatan CTL. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah classrom action research. Objek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI A3 dan XI A4 tahun pelajaran 2011-2012. Penelitian dilakukan dalam 3 siklus. Siklus I pendekatan CTL dengan penekanan pada inquiry, questioning, dan learning community dengan tema menulis “Tales”. Siklus II, penekanan pada konstruktivis, inquiry, dan learning community dengan menulis tema “Fabel”. Siklus III, penekanan pada observasi, konstruktivis, inquiry, dan learning community dengan menulis tema tidak ditentukan. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) Penyusunan RPP pembelajaran menulis teks narrative disusun dengan sintak: konstrutivis, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, dan refleksi. (2) Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran, yaitu merespon pertanyaan guru, memperhatikan petunjuk dari guru, aktif mencari objek diluar kelas, mengamati objek diluar kelas, berinteraksi dengan teman saat mengamati objek, mengkorelasi temuan dilapangan, mengidentifikasi objek dilapangan, mengungkapkan hasil pengamatan, mengembangkan temuan sesuai dengan kreativitas, dan menjelaskan hasil pengamatan (3) Sistem evalusi pembelajaran, memasukkan lima aspek dalam kemampuan menulis teks narrative (4) terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks narrative pada Siklus I siswa kelas XI A3 mencapai ketuntasan 63,64% dan kelas XI A4 terdapat 59,09% meningkat menjadi 100% kelas XI A3 dan 97,73% kelas XI A4. Artinya, terjadi peningkatan 57, 14% pada kelas XI A3 dan 65,38% pada kelas XI A4. Kata Kunci: menulis teks narrative, CTL This objectives of this research are to analyze (1) the compilation of lesson plan fo English lesson in narrative writing using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach, (2) the implementation of English lesson in narrative writing with CTL approach, (3) evaluation of English lesson in narrative writing with CTL approach, and (4) the improving of narrative writing ability of XI grade SMA Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung through CTL approach. The research method used was classroom action research. The object of the research is the students of class XI A3 and XI A4 2011-2012 school year. This action research lasted in 3 cycles. In the 1st cycle the research used CTL approach with focus on inquiry, questioning, and learning community with the theme of writing "Tales". The 2nd Cycle, the research focus on a constructivist, inquiry, and learning community by writing theme of "Fable". The 3rd Cycle, the focus on observation, constructivist, inquiry, and learning community by “free” theme. The results of the research shows that (1) the composition of learning lesson plan narrative text prepared by the syntax: construtivis, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, and reflection. (2) students in the learning activity, the teacher responds to the question, pay attention to the instructions of the teacher, actively looking for objects outside the classroom, outside the classroom to observe objects, interact with friends while watching the object, correlate the findings in the field, identify objects on the ground, revealing observations, develop findings accordance with creativity, and explain the observations, (3) learning evaluation system, include five aspects of the ability to writing narrative texts (4) improvement of English score in writing narrative texts in the 1st cyrcle in the XI A3 achieve mastery 63.64% and XI A4 are 59.09% become 100% for XI A3 and 97.73% for XI A4. It means there is improvement 57, 14% for XI A3 class and 65.38% for XI A4 class. Keywords: writing narrative text, CTL
