Abstract

This studyaims to knowandanalyze: 1) the influence ofprincipal situational leadershipstyleson teacher performance, 2) the influence ofschool climateon teacher performance, 3) the influence ofwork motivation onteacher performance, and4) the influence ofprincipalsituationalleadership style, schoolclimate,andwork motivation on the SMK teachersperformancein Metro City This research is usingan ex post facto methodthatinvestigateorexaminethe events that haveoccurred. Thestudy populationtotaled235teachersthat includeSMKteachersin Metro City. The research samplewas determined byproportional random sampling techniquewitha total sample of71respondents. Dataobtained usinga questionnaire, documentation,andobservation as foranalyzedusingsimpleregressionandmultiple regressiontechniques. The results ofthis studyconclude: there isa positiveand significantinfluence ofsituational leadershipstyle, schoolclimateandwork motivationon SMKteacher performancein Metro City, means bettersituational leadershipstyle, more conduciveschoolclimateandhigherwork motivation,thenteachersperformance will be better.The variable thathas thestrongesttendencyin improvingteacher performanceisworkmotivation. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan menganalisis: 1) pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan situasional kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru, 2) pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap kinerja guru, 3) pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru, dan 4) pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan situasional kepala sekolah, iklim sekolah dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru di SMK Negeri Kota Metro Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ex post facto yaitu menyelidiki atau menguji peristiwa yang telah terjadi. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 235 guru yang meliputi guru SMK Negeri di Kota Metro. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik proportional random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 71 responden. Data didapatkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, dokumentasi dan observasi adapun analisis menggunakan teknik regresi sederhana dan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan : terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikangaya kepemimpinan situasional, iklim sekolah dan motivasi kerja guru terhadap kinerja guru SMK Negeri Kota Metro, artinya semakin baik gaya kepemimpinan situasional, semakin kondusif iklim sekolah dan semakin tinggi motivasi kerja maka semakin baik pula kinerja guru.Variabel yang memiliki kecenderungan paling kuat dalam peningkatan kinerja guru adalah motivasi kerja.
