Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah (1) menghasilkan Model connected pada mata pelajaran IPS yang dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di SMP (2) menganalisis pengujian efektifitas Model Connected pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas VII semester ganjil di SMPN 2 Bukit Kemuning tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Research and development (R&D). Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Teknik analisis data meliputi: assesment kebutuhan, perencanaan desain produk dan validasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) pengembangan produk model Connected dalam pembelajaran IPS dikembangkan menggunakan model rancangan penelitian pengembangan mengadopsi langkah-langkah Dick and Carey sebagai model desain pembelajaran, kemudian hasil pengembangan diuji cobakan dengan langkah-langkah penelitian pengembangan Borg and Gall, yang dilaksanakan melalui 6 tahap, yaitu: membuat analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan atau pengembangan produk, validasi ahli atau reviu ahli, revisi produk, uji terbatas, dan, model jadi dan pelaporan. Validasi ahli melibatkan ahli desain dan ahli materi, sedangkan dalam uji terbatas dilaksanakan uji skala kecil yang melibatkan 2 orang mewakili kelompok tinggi, 2 orang mewakili kelompok sedang, dan 2 orang mewakili kelompok rendah, sedangkan uji skala besar melibatkan 1 kelas eksperimen dan 1 kelas kontrol. (2) model Connected dalam pembelajaran IPS efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMPN 2 Bukitkemuning. Hal ini diketahui dari hasil pretest dan postest bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar atau peningkatan jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM di kelas 7A (kelas eksperimen) setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan model connected dalam pembelajaran IPS. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, model pembelajaran connected, Pendidikan karakter. The purpose of this research were: (1) produce the connected model in social studies that can be used as an alternative to improve the learning outcomes of students in junior high (2) Connected model to analyze the effectiveness of testing in social studies in grades VII semester in SMP 2 Bukit Kemuning school year 2013/2014. This research method uses Research and development (R & D). The collection of data through observation, interviews, documentation and literature. Data analysis techniques include: needs assessment, planning, product design and validation of data. Results showed: (1) Connected product development models in social studies learning models developed using the research design development adopted measures as Dick and Carey instructional design model, and then tested with the results of the development steps Borg and Gall development research, conducted through 6 stages, namely: making needs analysis, planning or product development, or expert review of the expert validation, product revision, the test is limited, and, so models and reporting. Validation involves expert design expert and expert material, whereas in limited trials conducted small-scale trials involving 2 groups representing high, 2 representing moderate group, and 2 represent the low group, whereas large-scale test involving one experimental class and control class 1. (2) Connected model in the IPS learning effectively used in teaching social studies at SMPN 2 Bukitkemuning. It is known from the results of the pretest and posttest that there is an increase in learning outcomes or an increased number of students who achieve KKM in class 7A (experimental class) after the model of connected learning in social studies learning.
