Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

The lack of students writing ability in class IX truly and well,is a problem in Indonesia Language learning.To overcome this problem,it needs an exact way to increase the ability of writing,such as through Problem Based Learning Model in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to improve the planning, implementation process of learning to write, and tobdescribe the improvement of students’ writing skills through Problem Based Learning model on the students of class IX. The Method that is used in this research is qualitative descriptive through Classroom Action Research (CAR) by Problem Based Learning Model. The procedures of this reseacrh is conducted in three cycles . The research object is the students of Class IX A SMP N 4 Metro In the Academic Year 2013/2014 which consist of 24 students The result of this research shows an increasing of the students and the teacher activities in each cycle. The passing grade of writing through Problem Based Learning model in the first cycle is 66,67%, the second cycle is 72,73%, and the third cycle is 90.48%.The teacher activities in the learning process of the first cycle give score of 88,89 ,Analysis of Assessment of the Teacher Performances in the second cycle is 91,67 and in the third cycle is 95,83. The average score of students writing ability in the first cycle is 77,45;the second cycle is 81,44 and the third cycle is 88,25. The conclusion of this research is Problem Based Learning Model can improve the ability of the students writing. Keywords : writing, Problem Based Learning Model Rendahnya keterampilan menulis yang baik dan benar siswa kelas IX menjadi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut diperlukan cara yang tepat dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis, misalnya melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperbaiki perencanaan, pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran menulis, dan mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan menulis siswa melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada siswa kelas IX. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Prosedur dalam penelitian dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga siklus. Objek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX A SMP Negeri 4 Metro tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas siswa dan guru pada setiap siklus. Ketuntasan nilai menulis melalui model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada siklus satu 66,67%, siklus dua 72,73%, dan siklus tiga 90,48%. Aktivitas guru dalam pembelajaran siklus satu skor, yaitu 88,89, APKG siklus dua skor 91,67 dan APKG siklus tiga skor 95,83. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan menulis siswa pada siklus satu mendapat skor 77,43 , siklus dua mendapat skor 81,44 dan siklus tiga mendapat skor 88,25. Dari hasil penelitian tindakan kelas ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa.
