Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
The purposes of this research were (1) developing the product (of research), that was, the economics scrabble learning media, and (2) knowing the effectiveness of economics scrabble learning media. The research desain was Research and Development Design (R & D). Developing designed followed the steps of Dick and Carey. The population of this research was the tenth grade students of senior high school number four of metro. Sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling, there were two classes used as sample of the research, they were: tenth-five class (X.5) as experiment class and tenth-one class (X.1) as control class with consideration that these two classes had the same or equal ability. In this research, researcher took two kinds of score, including pretest score - gained before doing teaching and learning process- and post test score- gained after teaching learning process. After that, these result were analyzed by t-test. The scores analyzing result showed that the experiment class that used economic scrabble learning media had better or higher score than the control class that used conventional learning media. The scores rate of experimental class was higher (14,86) than the control class (9,71). From the t-test analyzes, it was gained that the t-count was higher that the t-table, 0,000 < 2,042 and 5,390 > 2,042. So that, we can conclude that there were a effectivity students who used economic scrabble learning media more effective than the students who used conventional learning media. Key words: Economic Scrabble, Development, Learning Media Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengembangkan produk berupa media belajar scrabble ekonomi, dan (2) mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media belajar scrabble ekonomi. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain Research and Development (R & D). Desain pengembangan mengikuti langkah-langkah Dick and Carey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA N 4 Metro. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, sampel yang digunakan sebagai penelitian 2 kelas, yaitu kelas X.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X.1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pertimbangan pengambilan sampel tersebut adalah kelas yang mempunyai kemampuan relatif sama. Pengambilan nilai dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari nilai pretes dan postes sebelum dan setelah dilakukan pembelajaran kemudian hasil belajar dianalisis menggunakan t-test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kenaikan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (14,86) daripada rata-rata kenaikan hasil belajar kelas kontrol (9,71). Analisis menggunakan t-test diperoleh t-hitung lebih besar dari t-table, 0,000 < 2,042 dan 5,390 > 2,042. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa efektivitas pembelajaran di kelas eksperimen (menggunakan media belajar scrabble ekonomi) lebih efektif daripada pembelajaran di kelas kontrol (menggunakan media belajar konvensional).
