Abstract: This research is a comparative experiment with an approach that aims to identify differences in learning outcomes using IPS Integrated NHI and GI. The study population was the entire eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Natar Academic Year 2013/2014 amounted to 181 students. Samples were students of class VIII B and VIII C amounted to 60 students who are determined by purposive sampling technique. The results showed: (1) there are differences in the results of Integrated Social learning through the NHI and GI; (2) The average of the results of Integrated Social learning in students who use NHT higher than the GI; (3) the results of Integrated Social learning is more effective to use NHT improve learning outcomes compared with GI. Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan komparatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPS Terpadu menggunakan NHIdan GI. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Natar Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 berjumlah 181 siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII B dan VIII C berjumlah 60 siswa yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sample. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) ada perbedaan yang hasil belajar IPS Terpadu melalui NHI dan GI; (2) rata-rata hasil belajar IPS Terpadu pada siswa yang menggunakan NHT lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan GI; (3) hasil belajar IPS Terpadu yang menggunakan NHT lebih efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar dibandingan dengan GI.
