Abstract
ABSTRAK INDONESIA Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 81A Tahun 2013 tentang implementasi kurikulum yang ditetapkan, menyebutkan perihal pedoman ekstrakurikuler di sekolah. Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa Ekstrakurikuler adalah kegiatan pendidikan yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik di luar jam belajar dan dilakukan di bawah bimbingan sekolah dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan kepribadian, bakat, minat, dan kemampuan peserta didik. Hal tersebut erat kaitannya dengan pembentukan konsep diri siswa-siswi yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan proses komunikasi dalam membentuk konsep diri anggota baru pada pecinta alam SMA Negeri 9 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan memakai teori model interaksional. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data tersebut diolah dengan teknik analisa data kualitatif melalui metode reduksi data, penyajian dan kemudian menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua bentuk komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh anggota pengurus kepada anggota baru Pasmala dalam membentuk konsep diri anggota baru yaitu komunikasi antar pibadi dan komunikasi kelompok, namun lebih banyak dilakukan komunikasi antar pribadi. Kegiatan pembentukan konsep diri dilakukan dengan pemberian materi ruang dan lapangan yang disampaikan oleh tutor yang telah dibentuk. Terdapat ciri-ciri konsep diri yang terlihat pada anggota baru yaitu terbentuknya rasa tanggung jawab, kepemimpinan dan kepercayaan diri yang mengarah pada konsep diri positif. Dengan demikian dapat diartikan bentuk komunikasi antar pribadi dan kelompok yang dilakukan berkontribusi pada pembentukan konsep diri positif anggota baru. Peran komunikasi antar pribadi dan komunikasi kelompok dalam membentuk konsep diri anggota baru tersebut selalu mengacu pada model interaksional. Melalui model ini, anggota pengurus dan anggota baru Pasmala selalu menjaga keseimbangan dari subsistem yang ada, sehingga akan membentuk suatu kerjasama yang baik dan pada akhirnya akan terus membantu pembentukan konsep diri yang semakin positif. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu proses pembentukan konsep diri menggunakan komunikasi antar pribadi dan komunikasi kelompok yang efektif dalam membentuk kedekatan emosional dan menyampaikan pesan, sehingga terbentuk konsep diri positif sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. It is explained that extracurricular is educational activity that are carried out by students outside lesson hours and is done under school’s guidance with the aim to develop the personality, talent, interest, and ability of learner. It is closely related to the forming of self-concept on students who follow extracurricular. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the process of communication in shaping the self-concept of new members in SMAN 9 Bandar Lampung’s pecinta alam organization. This study used qualitative methods and interactional model theory. Data collection techniques in this research with in-depth interviews, observations and documentation. The data is processed by technical analysis of qualitative data through method of data reduction, presentation and then draw conclusions. Results of data collection, there are two patterns of communication made by board members to the new members in the building of self-concept Pasmala two new members of interpersonal communication and group communication. In this case the most dominant is interpersonal communication. Activities carried out with the formation of self-concept space and field giving the material delivered by tutors who have been established. There are the characteristics of a positive self-concept that looks at new members, formed a sense of responsibility , leadership and confidence that leads to a positive self-concept . Thus it can be interpreted a form of communication between individuals and groups that do contribute to the formation of a positive self-concept of new members. The role of interpersonal communication and group communication in the form of self-concept of the new members are always referring to the theory of interactional model. Through this theory, board members and new members Pasmala always maintain the balance of the existing subsystem, so that it will establish a good cooperation and ultimately will continue to assist the formation of more positive self-concept. The conclusion of this research is the process of forming the self-concept use of interpersonal communication and effective group communication in the form of emotional closeness and convey a message, forming a positive self-concept as expected.
