Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Cooperative Learning tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gadingrejo tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 yang terdistribusi dalam 8 kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-C dan VII-D yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain Penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Data kemampuan representasi matematis siswa diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan representasi matematis berbentuk uraian. Uji statistik yang digunakan yaitu uji Mann Whitney- . Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model Cooperative Learning tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa.
