The study aims to analyze : (1) the relationship of two recruitment methods and system placement position (non- competence / competence ) with the performance of crumb rubber processing employees at PT. Plantation Nusantara VII (Persero) Business Unit Causeway Natar Kiwah South Lampung district under the terms of personnel management, (2) the relationship recruitment and placement position with crumb rubber processing employee performance at PT. Plantation Nusantara VII (Persero) Business Unit Causeway Natar Kiwah South Lampung regency. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using non-parametric statistics. The results of study recruitment relationship and position placement using the open method, indicates that the corresponding (competence) with the specification of office. While relations of recruitment and placement position using the closed method shows that, not yet fully compliant (non-competence) with the specification a position. Based on chi-square, there is positive relationship on medium correlation. Staffing positions have a strong relationship with the performance of employees who have non-formal education supporting formal education, in placed in accordance with skill of each. Based on chi-square, there is positive relationship on strong correlation. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis : (1) hubungan dua sistem metode penerimaan karyawan dan posisi penempatan (non kompetensi/kompetensi) dengan kinerja karyawan pengolahan karet remah pada PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VII (Persero) Unit Usaha Pematang Kiwah Natar Kabupaten Lampung Selatan menurut ketentuan manajemen personalia, (2) hubungan penerimaan karyawan dan posisi penempatan dengan kinerja karyawan pengolahan karet remah pada PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VII (Persero) Unit Usaha Pematang Kiwah Natar Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Data penelitian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan statistik non parametrik. Hasil penelitian hubungan penerimaan karyawan dan posisi penempatan menggunakan metode terbuka, menunjukkan bahwa sesuai (kompetensi) dengan spesifikasi jabatan. Sedangkan hubungan penerimaan karyawan dan posisi penempatan menggunakan metode tertutup menunjukkan bahwa, belum sepenuhnya sesuai (non kompetensi) dengan spesifikasi jabatan. Berdasarkan chi-square, adanya hubungan erat dan positif pada korelasi sedang. Posisi penempatan karyawan memiliki hubungan kuat dengan kinerja karyawan yang memiliki pendidikan non formal mendukung pendidikan formal, di tempatkan sesuai dengan bidangnya. Berdasarkan chi-square, adanya hubungan positif pada korelasi kuat.
