Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

The purposes of this study were (1) to describe the use of instructional materials that are currently used and the potentials of schools against the developed products, (2) to generate tutorial modules OpenOfice.org Writer as a self-learning media for junior high school students, (3) to analyze the effectiveness of a tutorial module OpenOffice.org Writer, (4) to analyze the efficiency of the use of tutorial module OpenOffice.org Write, (5) to analyze the attractiveness of a tutorial module OpenOffice.org Write. The research used research approach and development, conducted in SMPN 2 South Abung, SMPN 1 Anak Ratu Aji, and SMP PGRI Trimodadi. The data collection used tests and questionnaires, then analyze d quantitatively and qualitatively. The conclusions of the study were: (1) the developed instructional materials become potentials of school, (2) The result of this development is instructional materials of tutorial module OpenOffice.org Writer that was validated by a media expert, material expert, and instructional design expert, (3) instructional materials of tutorial module OpenOffice.org Writer was effective used as learning media with a posttest average value for treatment class for cognitive was 8.25, and psychomotor was 8.31, which was greater than the control class that had an average value posttest of cognitive was 6.77,and psychomotor was 7.44,(4)the use of instructional materials Openoffice.org Writer module was efficient with learning efficiency ratio was 1.14, (5) OpenOffice.org Writer was an attractive tutorial module with an average score 4.381, and entered in attractive criteria on the rating scale. Keywords : instructional materials, module, openoffice.org writer Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan bahan ajar yang digunakan saat ini dan potensi sekolah terhadap produk yang dikembangkan, (2) menghasilkan modul tutorial OpenOffice.org Writer sebagai media belajar mandiri bagi siswa SMP, (3) menganalisis efektifitas modul tutorial OpenOffice.org Writer, (4) menganalisis efisiensi penggunaan modul tutorial OpenOffice.org Writer, dan (5) menganalisis daya tarik modul tutorial OpenOffice.org Writer. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan, dilakukan di SMP N 2 Abung Selatan, SMPN 1 Anak Ratu Aji dan SMP PGRI Trimodadi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan angket, selanjutnya dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah: (1) Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan menjadi potensi sekolah, (2) hasil dari pengembangan ini berupa bahan ajar modul tutorial OpenOffice.org Writer yang divalidasi oleh ahli media, ahli materi dan ahli desain pembelajaran, (3) bahan ajar modul tutorial OpenOffice.org Writer efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dengan nilai rata-rata posttest untuk kelas perlakuan untuk kognitif yaitu 8,25 dan psikomotornya 8,31 lebih besar dari kelas kontrol yang nilai rata-rata posttest kognitif adalah 6,77 dan aspek psikomotornya 7,44, (4) penggunaan bahan ajar modul OpenOffice.org Writer efisien dengan nilai rasio efisiensi pembelajaran 1,14, (5) modul tutorial OpenOffice.org Writer menarik dengan rata-rata skor 4.381 masuk dalam kriteria menarik pada rating scale.
