Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis mengenai: 1) pengawasan akademik dan manajerial, 2) membimbing dan melatih profesional guru, 3) pelaksanaan pengembangan profesi pengawas, 4) faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat kinerja pengawas dan, 5) upaya-upaya dari instansi dalam meningkatkan kinerja pengawas madrasah. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dan studi kasus sebagai rancangan penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, studi dokumentasi dan observasi. Sumber data berjumlah 21 orang yang diambil dengan teknik snowball terdiri dari pejabat di Kantor Kementerian Agama Lampung Selatan, Pengawas Madrasah, Kepala Madrasah serta guru madrasah di Lingkungan Kementerian Agama Lampung Selatan. Hasil penelitian: 1) pengawasan akademik dan manajerial dimulai dengan perencanaan meliputi program kerja, pembagian wilayah kerja dan pembuatan jadwal supervisi, tetapi dalam pelaksanaan dan pembuatan laporan hasil supervisi belum optimal; 2) membimbing dan melatih profesional guru melalui kegiatan KKG/MGMP, seminar, workshop tetapi kegiatan ini kurang kontinu, karena keterbatasan dana dan waktu yang tersedia dari pengawas; 3) pelaksanaan pengembangan profesi pengawas belum terlihat sebagai suatu kebutuhan dalam mengembangkan profesi, sebagai dampak kurangnya Diklat penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah (KTI) dan motivasi pengawas; 4) faktor pendukung kinerja berupa motivasi, kompetensi, insentif dan pengalaman kerja. Sedangkan faktor penghambat kinerja berupa lingkungan kerja yang kurang kondusif, fasilitas yang kurang dan jumlah pengawas yang sedikit. (5) upaya-upaya dari instansi dalam meningkatkan kinerja pengawas madrasah diantaranya pembinaan, pemberian motivasi, kesempatan melanjutkan pendidikan, insentif, dana monitoring dan kendaraan dinas, serta rekrutmen calon pengawas. Kata kunci: profil, kinerja, pengawas madrasah, kementerian agama. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze regarding: 1) academic and managerial supervision, 2) guide and train professional teachers, 3) implementation of professional development supervisor, 4) factors supporting and inhibiting factors supervisor performance and, 5) the efforts of the agencies in the improve the performance of supervisors madrassas. This type of research is qualitative and phenomenological approach as a case study research design. The techniques of collecting data are through in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation. The data sources were 21 people who were taken to the snowball technique consists of officials at the Ministry of Religious South Lampung, Supervisory Madrasah, Madrasah Principals and teachers at the Ministry of Religious South Lampung. Results of the study: 1) academic and managerial oversight begins with planning include work programs, zoning and scheduling work supervision, but in the implementation and report the results of supervision is not optimal; 2) guide and train professional teachers through KKG / MGMPs, seminars, workshops but less continuous activity, due to limited funds and time available from the supervisor; 3) the implementation of professional development supervisor has not been seen as a necessity in developing the profession, as a result of the lack of Essay Writing Training (KTI) and motivation supervisor; 4) the performance of the supporting factors such as motivation, competence, incentives and work experience. While the performance inhibiting factors such as unfavorable working environment, lack of facilities and the number of supervisors were little. (5) the efforts of the regulatory agencies in improving the performance of such madrasas coaching, motivation, the opportunity to continue their education, incentives, and monitoring and service vehicles, as well as the recruitment of candidates for superintendent.
