Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendiskripsikan potensi pengembangan modul bahasa Inggris untuk pembelajaran writing exposition text di SMA, (2) menghasilkan modul bahasa Inggris untuk pembelajaran writing exposition text (3) menjelaskan efektifitas, (4) efisiensi, (5) daya tarik modul bahasa Inggris pada pembelajaran writing exposition text. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Penelitian dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Atas di kabupaten Pringsewu. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan angket. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan deskriptif kuantitatif dan uji t. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah: (1) pengembangan pembelajaran modul writing exposition text sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa, (2) modul yang dihasilkan sebagai suplemen, komplemen dan substitusi yang dapat menambah keterampilan menulis. Langkah penelitian diawali dengan analisis kebutuhan siswa, langkah ke dua menentukan materi pokok sesuai dengan silabus, membuat RPP dan draft rencana materi pengembangan, langkah ke tiga pengembangan produk modul materi pembelajaran; hasil pengembangan dilakukan dengan pengujian ahli materi, ahli isi dan siswa. Langkah ke empat uji coba awal, langkah ke lima revisi produk, langkah ke enam uji coba lapang, langkah ke tujuh atau langkah terakhir melakukan revisi materi pengembangan. (3) efektifitas modul dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 36,205, (4) efisiensi modul dengan nilai 1,87 diikuti dengan fase elaborasi rasio 1,6 dan fase konfirmasi rasio 1, (5) daya tarik modul memiliki nilai rata-rata 3,50 (sangat menarik). Kata Kunci: eksposisi, modul, menulis, teks Abstract The aims of this research are (1) to describe the potential of module for learning English writing exposition text at Senior high School, (2) to produce English module for learning to write exposition text, (3) to explain the effectiveness, (4) to know the efficiency of module, and (5) to find the interest of module in learning to write exposition text The type of this research is research and development. This research was conducted at three Senior High Schools of Pringsewu Regency. The data were collected thtrough test and questionnaire. The data of the research were analyzed using both quantitative and descriptive qualitative. The conclusions of the research are: (1) development of English writing module of exposition text is suitable with the student’s need, (2) to produce English module for learning supplement. Development module is started by need analysis, the second step planning to identify the material, the third step product development and tested by expert of design and content, the fourth step tested the field, the fifth product revise, the sixth step tested the field and the seventh step of the last revise material development to write exposition text , (3) the average score of the effectivity of the module is 36.205, (4) the average efficiency of module is is 1.87 followed by the the ratio of elaboration phas scoring to 1 and confirmation ratio 1, and (5) the average inerest of the module is 3.50 (categorized as very good) Key words : exposition, module, text, writing
