Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif TPS dalam pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian adalah dengan desain pola kontrol post-tes dengan populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester ganjil SMP Negeri 1 Kota Agung Barat tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIIIC dan VIIID yang dipilih dari empat kelas menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih baik dari pe-mahaman konsep yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran TPS efektif diterapkan dalam pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Kata Kunci : Efektivitas, TPS, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis
