Abstrak (Berisi Bastraknya saja, Judul dan Nama Tidak Boleh di Masukan)
ABSTRAK Holocaust adalah genosida terhadap sekitar 6 juta penganut Yahudi Eropa selama PD II, suatu program pembunuhan sistematis yang didukung oleh negara Jerman dibawah kekuasaan Nazi, yang dipimpin oleh Adolf Hitler. Rezim zionis menggunakan tragedi Holocaust sebagai trik untuk menarik perhatian masyarakat Internasional dan menggelindingkan propaganda luas. Salah satu budaya populer yang berperan dalam membentuk ingatan kolektif publik adalah film. Film The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas dan The Pianist mengetengahkan Tragedi Holocaust dan menyampaikannya dengan sangat berbeda satu sama lain. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk melihat Holocaust dianggap sebagai masalah apa dalam kedua film tersebut, apa yang menyebabkan terjadinya Holocaust dalam kedua film tersebut, Moral Judgement seperti apa yang ditampilkan dalam film tersebut, dan Treatment Recommendations yang seperti apa yang ditampilkan dalam kedua film tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian kualitatif yang dijelaskan secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis framing model Robert N. Entman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan representasi Holocaust dalam film The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas dan The Pianist tersebar dalam potongan adegan, dialog, dan latar atau properti. Terdapat 29 adegan yang mengandung Holocaust dalam film The boy in the striped pyjamas, dan 59 adegan yang mengandung Holocaust dalam film The pianist. Selain itu, kedua film ini menggambarkan Holocaust dengan sudut pandang yang berbeda. Kata Kunci : Analisis Framing, Holocaust, Representasi ABSTRACT Holocaust was the genocide of approximately six million European Jews during World War II. It was a systematic assassination program supported by Germany under the rule of Nazi which was led by Adolf Hitler. The Zionist regime proposed the Holocaust tragedy as a trick to attract the attention of International Community and rolled over the spreading propaganda. Movie was one of the popular culture that played role in shaping the collective memory of the public. The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas and The Pianist Movie explored the tragedy of Holocaust and presented the message differently one another. This study attempted to find out the consideration of problems caused by Holocaust in the movie, the problems that caused the Holocaust in both movie, The Moral Judgement presented in both movie, and Treatment Recommendations presented in both movie. This research applied the qualitative method which was explained descriptively through the approach of Framing Model Analysis of Robert N. Entman. The result of the research showed that the representation of Holocaust in The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas and The Pianist movie spreaded in some certain scenes, dialogues, the background or property of the movie. There were 29 scenes that contain Holocaust in The boy in the striped pyjamas movie and 59 scenes that contain Holocaust in The Pianist movie. Besides, both movies presented Holocaust in different kind of point of view. Key word: Framing analysis, Holocaust, Representation
