ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model penerimaan teknologi aplikasi Blackberry messenger (BBM) dengan menguji teori Uses And Gratifications , . komunikasi dikatakan efektif bila orang berhasil men yampaikan in formasi yang ingin di sampaikan , berkaitan erat dengan rangsangan yang ditangkap dan dipahami oleh penerima . Dari hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan penggunaan fasilitas gadget sebagai media komunikasi dilingkungan mahasiswa FISIP komunikasi unila, terdapat tingkat kepuasan yang cukup tinggi terhadap kepuasan pen ggunaan BBM di I os dan Android, tingkat kepuasan di karakteristik jenis kelamin wanita dengan jumlah skor 79,561 maka dapat disimpulkan dari penggunaan Blackberry messenger di Ios dan Android yang me njadi pengguna merasa paling puas dalam pemakaiannnya adalah Wanita di kalangan mahasiswa 2011 dan 2012 FISIP jurusan Ilmu Komunikasi UNILA. Kata kunci : Aplikasi Blackberry messenger (BBM), tingkat kepuasan dan Media Massa ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to examine the acceptance model of Blackberry messenger (BBM) technology by testing the theory of Uses and Gratification. Communication is effective when people managed to convey the information that want to convey, is closely related stimuli captured and understood by the recipient. The re sult of study that aimed to found out the rate of satisfaction for using gadget as communication media in Faculty of Social Science Communications UNILA, there is a fairly high level of satisfaction for using Blackberry Messenger in Ios and Android devices , the level of satisfaction in female characteristic is 79,561. It can be concluded that the most satisfied users among students in Faculty of Social Science Communications UNILA 2011 and 2012 is female.
